Best known for Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway has long been a mix of student life, sports culture, and growing residential developments. The neighborhood also houses some of Boston’s most prestigious cultural institutions, including the Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall. Fenway’s architecture ranges from classic brownstones to newer luxury apartment towers. Many older buildings have been converted into student housing, given the neighborhood’s proximity to Northeastern University, Berklee College of Music, and other schools. Besides baseball, Fenway is known for its bars and restaurants, including Bleacher Bar, which offers a unique view inside Fenway Park, and Time Out Market, a food hall with diverse dining options. The neighborhood is mostly home to students, young professionals, and sports fans. A fun fact is that Fenway Park is the oldest Major League Baseball stadium still in use, opening in 1912. Public transportation includes the Green Line (D branch at Fenway, B/C/D branches at Kenmore) and multiple bus routes, including the 55 and 8.
